Kururugi SuzakuFan Fiction (Code Geass)

Suzaku Kururugi is a character in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, born on July 10, 2000 a.t.b. as the son of Japan's last prime minister, Genbu Kururugi; his existence was kept secret from the public until after the war. He met Lelouch and Nunnally when they moved to the Kururugi residence as part of a diplomatic arrangement, initially resenting Lelouch before the two became best friends. Separated during Britannia's invasion of Japan, they were reunited in the Shinjuku Ghetto. During the invasion, Suzaku clashed with his father over whether to keep resisting, and killed him in the heated exchange; the incident was covered up as Japan surrendered. Wracked with guilt, Suzaku repeatedly places himself on the front lines hoping to atone through death, and adopts the belief that peace achieved through immoral means is meaningless. After firing the F.L.E.I.J.A. warhead under the command of Lelouch's Geass, he abandons that belief and resolves to pursue his goals regardless of the means, ultimately joining Lelouch. His character draws attention for the constant moral conflict between guilt over his father's death and his pursuit of an ideal, immoral-means-versus-ends dilemma running through his actions.
