Kaida Haru is a Japanese VTuber and virtual liver affiliated with Nijisanji, a virtual liver group operated by Anycolor Inc. Nijisanji was established in 2018 with the aim of promoting the use of Live2D models combined with live streaming, at a time when 3D models and clip-based content were the dominant format. Kaida Haru is active within this framework.

Livers belonging to Nijisanji are characterized by real-time live streaming using Live2D models, allowing direct interaction with viewers. Personality traits and character dynamics gradually take shape through the accumulation of on-stream speech, expressions, and interactions. These traits and relationships that emerge through streaming have become common material for fan-made works, and Kaida Haru is likewise a subject of fan creations based on elements that appear through such activity.
