Nijisanji is a virtual YouTuber agency operated by Anycolor Inc. Its first generation of talents began activities in February 2018, and the group has continued to grow in size since then. Activities center on live streaming, covering a wide range of content such as chatting, game play, and karaoke. Some talents and units also release videos, original songs, and perform in live music events. The name is said to derive from the idea of "connecting the 2D and 3D worlds."

At a time when many virtual YouTubers relied on 3D models and pre-recorded video content, Nijisanji adopted a style centered on 2D Live2D models and live streaming. This approach is noted for influencing many virtual YouTubers that followed, with each talent developing streams that reflect their own individual personality. Rindou Mikoto is one of the talents active within this environment, known to fans through this style of streaming activity.
