MaomaoAI Chat, Roleplay & x Reader (The Apothecary Diaries)

Maomao is the protagonist of The Apothecary Diaries. She is a girl who worked as an apothecary in a red-light district, was kidnapped and sold to the Imperial Palace as an indentured servant, and gradually rises to the station of court pharmacist. Though she intended to remain anonymous, her actions catch the attention of Jinshi, an influential eunuch, and she comes to take on the solving of mysteries for the royal court. She is ordinarily stoic, but becomes more expressive through her interactions with others.

Her appeal lies in possessing traits rarely seen in other series and in her portrayal as an unreliable narrator. Her relationship with Jinshi stands out as a result of their contrasting personalities, which initially come across as distant due to the environment they are put in.
