These special diaries can predict the future, and the last survivor becomes the heir to the universe. Each participant fights using a diary with different characteristics.

The story revolves around psychological warfare as the characters probe one another's diary abilities and weaknesses, alongside unpredictable developments. It is based on a manga, and has also been adapted into anime and a television drama.
