Fushi is the protagonist of To Your Eternity. An immortal being sent to Earth by a mysterious entity referred to as the Beholder, he was initially called the Orb. On first arriving on Earth he takes multiple forms, and after befriending a young dying villager he copies the villager's appearance in response to the request never to forget him. As the story progresses, Fushi travels across the world and is given the name Fushi by a young villager named March, while the people he meets help him interact with others. He forms bonds with those he encounters and gradually becomes more human-like.

His appeal lies in the way an immortal being changes and grows more human through his connections with others, with those bonds serving as the core of his development.
