Vox Akuma is a virtual streamer affiliated with Nijisanji, a virtual YouTuber agency operated by Anycolor Inc. Nijisanji was founded in 2018 to promote live streaming using Live2D models, offering an alternative to the 3D and clip-based formats that had been popularized earlier. Within this framework, Vox Akuma performs live broadcasts through a Live2D avatar.

Detailed public information about specific stream content or persona is limited, but the appeal often associated with Nijisanji talents lies in the combination of expressive Live2D avatars and real-time live streaming, which allows direct interaction with viewers. Fan works inspired by Vox Akuma frequently draw on the character image formed through these streaming activities.
